Each year the Col. James Wood, II Chapter seeks to recognize those in our community who provide us with excellent public service, such as our Police, Fire Fighter and Emergency Medical responders. Often in harm's way, working nights and weekends, saving lives and property, these modern day heroes are deserving of our respect and recognition. The Chapter also provides awards for feats of heroism and bravery
If you wish to nominate someone to receive one of our Chapter Awards, please fill in the form below. There is a documentation requirement and approval process. If selected, the awardee and a guest will be invited to attend our Annual Public Service Awards Ceremony held in November and presented with their award. The selected awardee with have their names entered into the State Level Recognition Awards Contest. State Award winners are entered into our National Level Contest and garner significant recognition.
All services provided by the nominees must take place in Frederick, Clarke, Warren, Page or Shenandoah Counties or the City of Winchester.
